Chocolate, peanut butter, and potato chips are a few of my favorite snack foods – what an idea to combine them for this potato chip fudge. So easy to make and the best sweet and salty dessert treat.
Potato Chip Fudge
Chocolate, salty, and crunchy these are so delightful you will have to resist from eating the entire pan! If you are craving something sweet and salty you have to try these bites.
What type of potato chips should I use to make this fudge?
I used Original Wavy potato chips for this recipe. When choosing the type of chip for this recipe, I recommend using a thicker potato chip because it’s not as likely to get soggy from the chocolate. I also think that the salt from the potato chips really compliments the sweetness from the chocolate nicely.
How do I avoid the potato chips in the fudge getting soggy?
For this recipe I placed ground potato chips into the actual chocolate mixture. That way you don’t get the soggy texture and get the flavor instead. It adds the depth of flavor without the texture. With the larger pieces of thick potato chips on top, it gives you a great texture, but since they aren’t fully incorporated into the chocolate, you don’t notice any sogginess.
How should I store these potato chip bites?
You can store this for 7-10 days in an airtight container. For this recipe I don’t recommend freezing because they chips will become soggy once they have thawed.

How to make potato chip bites?
Start by adding 3 cups of potato chips to your food processor. Pulse 4-5 times until potatoes chips resemble 1 inch pieces. Then measure out 1 cup of potato chips and set aside. Blitz remaining potato chips in your food processor until finely ground. Once the chips are finely ground you should have one cup. If you have less than 1 cup, add in another handful of chips and blitz until you have reached 1 cup of potato chips. Set aside.
In a medium sized bowl melt together chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Using the microwave stir the chocolate mixture every thirty seconds until completely melted. Then stir in the vanilla. Add finely ground potato chips to the chocolate and stir until completely combined.
Lightly spray an 8×8 pan with cooking spray and line with parchment paper. Pour the chocolate mixture into pan and sprinkle coarsely ground potato chips on top.
Gently press chips down with the palm of your hand to prevent loose chips. Refrigerate for up to 2 hours or until firm. Cut mixture into triangles and enjoy!
