Supplies Needed To Make Sensory Jar

Halloween sensory jar ingredients and supplies

  • plastic storage jar
  • Elmer’s Glue (clear)
  • warm water
  • glitter or confetti (if desired) – I used Halloween foil confetti and green, silver, orange, and lime glitter
  • spiders or other small Halloween objects

How to make a spooky sensory jar

Begin by emptying the glue into jar.

Next fill the empty glue bottle about half full with warm water (approximately ¼ cup) and seal it with the lid. Shake well to combine the remaining glue with the water. Pour the water and glue mixture into jar with glue and stir to combine.

Add in the glitter, stir the glitter into the glue mixture. Add in any small Halloween objects.

Then seal the jar and shake well to combine the glitter. (If the glitter or confetti does not move easily, add more warm water. If the glitter or confetti moves to quickly, add additional glue.)

When the contents of the jar are moving around according to your preference, seal the jar and glue the lid closed to avoid spills.

Add a cupcake liner to cover the lid or decorate the lid however you choose.
