Can I use crackers instead of tortilla chips?!
Yes you can use crackers instead of tortilla chips. I think the shape of a tortilla chip looks more like a bat wing which I why I used chips.
Ingredients for Cheese Ball Bat Bites
- Blue Corn Tortilla Chips
- Spicy Jalapeno Cream Cheese
- Finely Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- Stuffed Green Olives
How to make bat cheese balls
Begin by taking a medium size mixing bowl and combine the cream cheese and mozzarella cheese mix together well.
Next slice the green olives, these will be the bat eyes.
After that carefully break the tortilla chips in small triangles, these will represent the bat ears.
You’ll also need approximately 1/3 cup of crushed tortilla chips. To crush chips place chips in a large baggie and smash with rolling pin until finely crushed.
Then scoop out a spoonful of cream cheese and mozzarella mixture and roll into a 1-inch ball. Place ball in the crushed tortilla chips and cover entirely. Repeat step until you have formed 10 balls.
Place 2 olive eyes onto each ball and push in the 2 triangle chips, one on each side for the wings.
