It is almost St. Patrick’s day! As you know by now if you have been following this site for any time, we love kids activities. Having four kids makes life interesting and these activities keep their minds growing.  We have this St. Patrick’s Day Moon Sand this year and its so much fun.

St. Patrick's Day Moon Sand

This activity takes less than 5 minutes from start to PLAY. You can add any little toys you want to this as well. Of course, my boys added their Star Wars and SuperHero figurines along with hot wheels cars, but who am I to judge. Let their creativity flow!

I love crafts and activities for kids that literally take mere minutes to put together. Most kids (definitely my kids) do not have long attention spans so I try to keep them all as simple as possible and hands-on for the kids.

    Hello,

This looks awesome! I am a teacher and was wanting to plan to use this in my classroom next week. I was just wondering if this is something I will need to make the day of or if it will stay fresh for some time?

    Thanks!

Hello! It is better the day of and literally takes under 5 minutes to make however if you want to make it prior you can. We stored ours in an airtight container and the kids played with it throughout the next 2 weeks. It probably would have lasted longer but somehow my kids got water in theirs and it turned to a paste, Ha! Id love to see yours if you’ll post a photo! Enjoy!

So cool! My daughter would have fun with this. She has some moon sand she plays with often. She’d love some green sand!

This looks like so much fun! My mom is a PAT (parents as teachers) and I bet this would be a great activity for her kids for St. Patrick’s Day! I’m definitely sending it to her 🙂
