Simple Rustic Flannel Wreath DIY

Dec 4, 2017 · 21 Comments

I love wreaths on my front door, but buying a new one every season can get expensive. I like to find wreaths that I can keep up for a whole season. This Simple Rustic Flannel Wreath is perfect for just that and gives your front door a warm and cozy feeling before people even walk inside.

Simple Rustic Flannel Wreath

Want a wreath that will look festive all of fall and winter? Make this Simple Rustic Flannel Wreath and enjoy it through both seasons! If you want an adorable winter wreath, that’s also simple, check out this easy Snowman Wreath tutorial too!

What you need

  • 18″ Grapevine Wreath
  • 1/2 Yard Flannel Fabric (pattern of your choice)
  • Hot Glue Gun

How to Make The Simple Rustic Flannel Wreath

Simple Rustic Flannel Wreath

You will need to cut your flannel into 3″-4″ wide strips. You should need 3-4 strips of fabric to make your wreath. You will need 2-3 strips to wrap around the wreath and one to make the bow.

Simple Rustic Flannel Wreath

Wrap the flannel strips around the wreath, leaving plenty of space between the wraps so you see the rustic grapevine wreath underneath. Use your hot glue gun to attach the strips of fabric to themselves to it looks like one continuous flannel strip all the way around the wreath. Use your glue gun to attach each end of the fabric strips to the wreath itself.

Simple Rustic Flannel Wreath

Use your last strip of flannel fabric to make a bow for your Simple Rustic Flannel Wreath. Tie a bow just like you would a shoe. Straighten the edges so it looks pretty. Use hot glue to attach it to the wreath on the right side. Allow your wreath to dry for ten minutes before hanging.

Hang your wreath on a wreath hanger on your front door, or anywhere you want to bring some cozy decor to.

That flannel wreath is so unique. You make it seem easy to make so I might get my daughter and make one with her before the holidays are over.

What an awesome and unique idea for a wreath! I will look around in our closet for an old flannel shirt that does not fit me anymore. I am going to make this wreath too. 🙂
