What is fluff?
This dessert gets fluffy from the combination of pudding, marshmallows, and jello.
Can I make this fluff salad in advance?
Yes you can make it up to 24 hours in advance. Refrigerator it in an air tight container until ready to serve. I recommend stirring and adding oranges when you are ready to serve.
Jello Salad Pro Tips
- Add in pineapple and / or banana to make it a more tropical fluff salad.
- Use sugar free jello to make it less sweet.
- Be sure to use instant pudding, opposed to cook and serve pudding.
- You can substitute fresh oranges instead of canned.
- Once all ingredients are added be sure to not over mix.
Orange Fluff Salad Ingredients
- orange jello
- vanilla pudding
- boiling water
- ice
- cool whip
- can of oranges
- miniature marshmallows
- fresh orange
How to make jello salad
Start with a large bowl and slowly mix together the box of orange jello and 1 cup of boiling water. Continue stirring for 1-2 minutes until the jello is fully dissolved.
Next add in ½ cup of ice and continue to stir until the ice is fully melted.
Let the jello set in the fridge for 20 minutes.
Remove the bowl from the fridge and whisk in vanilla pudding. Place back into fridge for approximately 20 minutes to allow it to thicken up.
Take out of the fridge and fold in the cool whip, oranges and marshmallows. Be extra cautious to not over mix it.
Place back into fridge to chill for at least 2 hours. Add fresh orange slices to the top as a garnish before serving.
