Pro tips for making your own hand sanitizer:
- Do not use sunburn relief with aloe in it. This is not the right kind and will leave your hands sticky at first.
- This will have the after smell of normal hand sanitizer, but the essential oil not only adds some relief from that smell, but also adds a nice immunity element.
What ingredients are in hand sanitizer:
- Aloe Vera Gel
- 99% Isopropyl Alcohol
- 5 Drops Tea Tree Essential Oil (optional)
What do you need to make hand sanitizer:
- Scissors
- Zip-Loc Baggie
- 2-4 Ounce Squeeze or Pump Bottle
How to make homemade hand sanitizer:
Begin by combining the aloe vera gel and isopropyl alcohol in a ziplock baggie, then mix it around gently by squishing the bag, until it is well combined. If you are using the essential oil, you’ll want to add it in as well.
Next adjust the contents over to one corner of the bag and hold that corner over a well-washed squeeze or pump bottle.
Using scissors clip a tiny tip of the corner with scissors and fill the bottle up. If you’re using a 2-ounce bottle, you will have to partially fill a secondary bottle of hand sanitizer.
