How to make Decongestant shower tablets
Add Baking Soda to a medium glass/metal mixing bowl. Do not use plastic as the smell may not come out!
Add cornstarch and blend dry ingredients together.
Add vapor rub – we use a homemade vapor rub but you can use store-bought.
Add water a bit at a time, mixing as you go. You will know it is ready when you can form a ball shape in your hands. If it is too crumbly, it needs more water.
Add food coloring, and mix well
Press mixture into an ice cube tray, soap or candy mold.
Place in freezer for at least 2-3 hours. Overnight is even better. Use one shower melt when feeling stuffy. It really works!
*I used my stand mixer with a metal bowl. It was easier for me to mix than to use a whisk. Once I washed the bowl in the dishwasher, there was no smell at all.
