This Christmas popcorn is sweet, salty, and festive! The combination of melted marshmallow, bit of chocolate, pretzels, and more it has a crunch that you won’t be able to stop eating. It’s yummy for a Christmas movie night or a great party recipe too.

This Christmas popcorn recipe is so easy to make in under 15 minutes and with 7 ingredients that you probably have in your pantry it will quickly become a holiday favorite! Even the kids can have fun helping to make this yummy treat.

What kind of popcorn should I use for this Christmas crunch?

You can really use any type of popcorn. Popcorn made in the microwave, on the stovetop, or in a popcorn maker. I think lightly buttered and salted popcorn works best, but you can use whatever you prefer!

How do I store this popcorn?

You can store this popcorn in an airtight container for one week, but you will be lucky if it lasts that long – it’s addicting and so delicious!

Tips and popcorn variations

  • Crushed candy canes would be a delicious added to this popcorn.
  • You can use regular m&ms or peanut butter m&ms.
  • Use different flavored candy melts.
  • Package it up in plastic bags with a bow for a great gift idea!

How to make Christmas popcorn

First in a medium sized sauce pan over medium heat, you will want to melt the butter.

Once butter is melted add in 5 cups mini marshmallows and continue to stir until melted.

Then once melted, take sauce pan off of stove and pour in popcorn and stir until almost fully combined.

Next add in 1 ½ cups marshmallows. Continue stirring to finish mixing the popcorn marshmallow mixture completely.

For your last half of marshmallows you want them to be incorporated into the mixture but not fully melted.

Place popcorn on cookie sheet.

Melt candy melts and coat popcorn.

Add on m&ms, pretzels, and sprinkles. Then gently press in into the popcorn with the palm of your hand.

Allow popcorn to cool and set. Once cooled, break popcorn apart and serve. Enjoy!

What You Need

  • 6 cups pre-popped popcorn

  • 1 cup red and green peanut m&ms
  • 1 cup pretzels chopped into smaller pieces
  • candy melts red or green
  • sprinkles red or green

Directions
