It’s best to start with strawberries that have a heart shape naturally. Take a washed strawberry and cut a v shape into the top to remove the stem. You can also hull the strawberry (this technique is a bit more advanced). Then trim the side of the strawberry to reveal the heart shape. First line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Then place the sucker sticks two to three inches apart on the parchment paper.

Next cut the strawberries into heart shapes by cutting a v shape to remove the stem.

Then melt the chocolate according to the directions on the package. If you are using a piping bag you can melt in the piping bag otherwise melt in a bowl.

Take the melted chocolate and spoon or pipe it in a circular motion on the top of each stick.

Lastly place a heart shaped strawberry in the middle of each circle and add sprinkles (optional).

Let dry for 2-3 hours or until chocolate is set.
