During this unprecedented time where we are all staying home to stay safe, the thought of a field trip or fun outing may seem impossible. It doesn’t have to be though! Thanks to technology there are so many virtual adventures that you and your kids can share all from the comfort and safety of your own home.

Now more than ever museums, zoos, aquariums, national parks, historical landmarks, and even theme parks are making it easier for you to go on a virtual adventure right at home. Many of these facilities are also adding educational resources to go along with their live streams, virtual tours, and webcams so that your virtual adventure can easily be added to your daily educational requirements for school.

Have you always wanted to travel to Italy and see the Vatican? You may not be able to hop on a plane with your family right now, but you can still see the Vatican. Check out this website here and you can take a tour of the Vatican right from your living room. There are 360-degree tours of the Sistine Chapel, Raphael’s Rooms, the Chiaramonti Museum, and much more.

How about a trip to the zoo? You might not be able to visit in person right now but that doesn’t mean that you can’t see what all of the animals are up to. Check out the webcams at the National Zoo and you watch as the lions, pandas, elephants, and naked mole rats go about their day. You can see the webcams here and you will also find a lot of educational activities and content so that you and your kids can learn more about the animals that you are seeing on your virtual adventure.
