How to make strawberry hot chocolate bombs
Begin by placing a large plate into the freezer.
In a microwave safe bowl melt the strawberry candy melts by heating in the microwave for 30 second intervals, until fully melted. Stir the candy melts well between each heating session.
With a spoon or large pastry brush, coat each of the mold cavities with the melted strawberry candy. Place the molds into the freezer for 5 minutes, and then repeat to add another coat of melted candy, finally chill for an additional 5 minutes.
Remove the plate (from the freezer) and the candy coated molds from the freezer. Gently pop the candy coated half spheres from mold and place onto the chilled plate.
Heat a small plate in the microwave for 2 minutes.
Next place one candy coated half sphere upside down onto the heated plate and move around to slightly melt the rim. Add one tablespoon Strawberry Nesquik powder and 7 mini marshmallows to the sphere.
Then place another candy coated half sphere upside down on the plate and move around to melt the rim.
Set that half sphere on top of the other, and very gently secure the two together with the melted candy coating.
Add the white candy melts into a pastry bag or ziplock bag and heat in 30 second increments until fully melted – massage the bag between each heat session.
Once melted cut off the tip of the bag and drizzle the melted candy on top of the bomb in a back and forth motion.
Finally add sprinkles to decorate.
