How To Make The Orange Banana Creamsicle Smoothie
Juice the oranges.
Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender. Blend on medium to high for two to four minutes (depending on the blender) until everything is smooth. You may need to add some additional water or use a tamper to keep things moving.
Pour into a chilled glass and enjoy!
This recipe makes two servings (roughly one cup each), so if you want to make more or less, adjust the recipe accordingly.
Tip: Make sure you use a frozen banana as this gives the smoothie a thick, creamy, ice cream like texture! Just stick the banana in your freezer whole, with the peel on, and it will freeze well overnight. When you’re ready to make your smoothie, just take the banana from the freezer, and peel it before dropping it into the blender.
This smoothie is a perfect brunch or even a mid-morning snack. I love to make these for the kids when they get home from school, and they love it too! It’s a great way to sneak in a serving of fruits and protein while still giving them a special treat. These also make great breakfasts when I’m in a hurry too!
