Classroom snacks always seem to be more and more difficult due to allergies. While some still may have allergies to strawberries it’s not as common as a nut allergy. These Ladybug Snacks for kids is a perfect treat that is healthier than all that candy.
Super simple to make and if you set it up like an assembly line you could really crank out an entire classroom-sized batch in no time! Let the kids help, after all, it’s for THEIR class.

How to make Ladybug Snacks
Wash, dry and cut the ends off the strawberries.
Draw a few black dots on the snack sized baggie to create the ladybug’s spots. Let the bag dry for a couple minutes.
Place two strawberries, bottom side down, in each bottom corner of the bag. Place the remaining two strawberries, bottom side down, into the bag on top of the other strawberries. Push two strawberries to one side and other two to the opposite side, leaving space in the middle. Flatten the bag to release any air and seal.
Cut the pipe cleaner in half. Wrap it around the center of the baggie to secure.
Paint one side of the clothespin with the red acrylic paint. Let dry. Use the black Sharpie to color a “head†at the top of the clothespin (open side). Give the ladybug some magic by painting a zig-zag pattern with the glitter glue.
Cut the pipe cleaner in half. Feed one half into the hinge hole on the side of the clothespin, making sure both ends hang out evenly. Fold the pipe cleaner upwards and twist, leaving the open ends at the top. Curl the ends of the pipe cleaners to create antenna. Stick on the googly eyes.
Attach the clothespin to the middle of the bag & your ladybug is ready to fly away!

Oh how cute and creative too. I know the grandkids would love these because they love strawberries. I take them strawberry picking when they’re in season here. We’ll have to try these after we go.

I am one of those people with an allergy. However my allergy is to peanuts, so it’s more common. I haven’t heard of too many people allergic to strawberries. This idea is so cute!
