Shamrock Pretzel Treats

Y’all know me, I like to make things my kids will actually eat and enjoy helping make. These Shamrock Pretzel Treats were a no-brainer.

Shamrock Pretzels

The kids can customize their own Shamrocks how they want, letting them get creative and express themselves. It’s so important for their minds and I love seeing what their imaginations express.

How to assemble Shamrock Pretzel Treats

Shamrock Pretzel Treats

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the green candy according to package instructions. Dip a pretzel twist in the melting candy with a fork or dipping tools, and tap off the excess candy before placing on a piece of parchment paper. Continue this process grouping the twists in sets of 3, connecting them to look like a clover.

Dip a pretzel stick in the green melting candy, tap off excess, and place between the pretzel twists to make the stem of the clover. Spoon a small bit of the melting candy in the center to ensure it all stays together once hardened. Continue this process with the remaining pretzels (until you run out of melting candy).

Shamrock Pretzel Treats

Spray the clover treats with the gold food color mist (keeping the can 6 inches away from the pretzel treats), and sprinkle with gold sugar sprinkles.

Shamrock Pretzel Treats

Allow the melting candy to set at room temperature until firm (about an hour). Serve or store at room temp in a sealable plastic bag.

Oh how cute those Shamrocks are! My grandchildren will love making and eating these. I always try to make something different with them each holiday. Thank goodness for Wilton because what good is green without a bit of gold on St. Patrick’s Day?

What a fun combination of sweet and salty! I didn’t even know those gold Wilton products existed. These would be fun to make with the grandkids this weekend.
