This season has been super busy, which means we haven’t gotten our normal family time in. I knew it was time to spend quality family time together, but I was not sure what to put together. That’s when I got the brilliant idea to have a family movie night. Here is how to plan the ultimate family movie night.

Step One: Pick Out the Perfect Movie Your first step to planning the ultimate family movie night is to pick out the movie. A movie is what makes the movie night. For our upcoming movie night, we are looking forward to watching Goosebumps 2. 
This movie is the second installment of the family-friendly franchise based on R.L. Stine’s beloved book series. You’ll love who is in it. Starring Jack Black, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Chris Parnell, Ken Jeong, Madison Iseman, Jeremy Ray Taylor, and Caleel Harris. When I was looking at movies, I knew right away that Goosebumps 2 was a fun-filled adventure that the kids will love. It’s perfect for family movie night and there are bonus features include a gag reel full of hilarious hijinks, three all-new deleted scenes, and five featurettes. Step Two: Pick Out the Perfect Snacks I don’t know about you, but the ultimate family movie night can’t happen without the perfect snacks. I like to go all out for stuff like this, which includes learning how to create a kid-perfect snack tray just like at the theaters, but at home!
A kid-perfect snack tray is so much fun to create and to use during the movie. We like to put our favorite drink, popcorn, and candies on the tray. I mean, half the fun of going to the actual movie theater is enjoying snacks, so this is really one of the best parts of having the ultimate family movie night. I found these plastic trays at Walmart while picking up our movie. Then, simply add your snacks of choice and enjoy! I love the fact that each of my kids has their own so there is no arguing over popcorn 5 minutes into the movie.

Step Three: Get Comfy!
When it’s time for the ultimate family movie night, we like to make sure we are super comfortable! We lay out a pallet on the floor and the kids get in their favorite pajamas. They have so much fun trying to figure out how to look the comfiest, while watching Goosebumps 2. We’re talking comfy socks, pajamas, and cozy blankets! We like to go all out for these movie nights.
